We cannot recommend Margery Stern and Custom Service Realty enough. We had to sell our house during the worst market we had ever seen -- and we sold it before any of our neighbors using full-service agents. Because we didn't have to pay an extra 3% to a seller's agent, we were able to price our home below others and we sold first! Months later, those same houses with full-service agents are lowering their prices -- so we feel that we really came out ahead.
We had been a bit leery about agents not wanting to show our house, but those fears were unfounded. We actually had more showings than some other homes in the neighborhood. If your house looks good and is priced right, it will sell itself if it is just listed on the MLS. We truly believe that paying an agent a high fee to sell your home is just not necessary anymore.
